Ringo, the information following you like a dog 7 Nov 2008 0

Another new concept of projected augmented reality. Ivan Tihienko has designed an interface that projected over the floor would allow the user to check your calendar, send emails, be guided by GPS, listening to music or launch multiplayer games. The motion graphics are quite convincing and the system seems plausible.

The privacy issues raised by the projection of personal information in a public space would lead to many users to use it only for certain tasks, such as games. It will also be difficult to ensure that the user has a portable projector so powerful to draw a clear picture in daylight and over any surface.

In any case it is an innovative concept that companies working in microprojectors will maybe take into account.
